Universal Studios Theme Parks

The current official logo for Universal Studios Theme Parks

Universal Studios, the film division of NBC Universal, operates a number of theme parks based around the movies it has produced. The original, Universal Studios Hollywood, started by running tours of the soundstages and backlots where filming was underway.

• Universal Studios used to own the PortAventura theme park in Salou, Spain. Since 2004, the park has been owned and operated by the Caixa banking group.

• Wicked (shorter version of the Broadway musical appears in the Asian parks)
• House of Horrors (At Universal Studios Hollywood)
• Kongfrontation and King Kong (Closed In 2002 at Universal Studios Florida, burned down in a fire at Universal Studios Hollywood in 2008 and will not be rebuilt)
