The Barnyard is the student section of the University of Minnesota's NCAA men's basketball team. They cheer on the Golden Gophers from behind the basket at Williams Arena, referred to in the basketball community as "The Barn."

Founded in the 2004-05 season, The Barnyard has grown to one of the most boisterous student sections in the Big Ten. The organization works to develop itself in many different ways: by increasing membership, developing business relationships, having social events, and performing community service,^[1] in addition to pushing the team to victory.
