The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman is a 1971 novel by Ernest J. Gaines, whose narrator, an African American woman named Jane Pittman, tells about her life, leading up to her joining in the American civil rights movement in 1962 at age 110. The novel was later made into a television movie in 1974. The TV movie currently distributes through Classic Media.
