The quote "This dance ain't for everybody, only the sexy people" is a reference to the song "The Bird" by the band The Time. The lyric "Boy, you really got me going, You got me so I don't know what I'm doing" is a tweaked excerpt from the Kinks song "You Really Got Me". The song is ranked #440 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Number 9 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop.
