Population growth rate estimates (by United Nations) for the period 2005-2010 using the medium variant.

This is a list of countries, and self-governing dependent territories by population growth rate, with estimates taken from the 2006 edition of the United Nations World Population Prospects report.[1] Figures are population growth rate estimates for the period 2005-2010 using the medium variant. A population's approximate doubling time is found by dividing 70 by its annual percentage population growth. For example, at a 4 percent growth rate, a country's population will double in about 18 years; at a 1 percent growth rate, it will take about 70 years. The average population growth rate for the world is 1.17%.
