Flag of the Kirghiz SSR

Flag of the Kirghiz Soviet Socialist Republic

This flag was adopted by the Kirghiz SSR on December 22, 1952.

Prior to this, the flag was red with gold Cyrillic characters in the top-left corner, КЫРГЫЗ ССР (Kirghiz SSR) and КИРГИЗСКАЯ ССР (Kyrgyzskaja SSR) in a serif font.
