Ferdinand of Spain (4 December 157118 October 1578) was the son of Philip II of Spain and Anna of Austria.

His maternal grandparents were Maximilian II, Holy Roman Emperor and Maria of Spain.

When Fernando was born he was proclaimed Prince of Asturias, his half-brother Don Carlos having died three years previously. Fernando died when he was 6 years old and the new prince of Asturias was his younger brother Diego.
