Inhabitants of Dol-de-Bretagne are called Dolois.

As of the census of 1999, the town had a population of 4,563. The estimate for 2005 was 4,774.

The town is very pleasant and gentle, and provides good access to the surrounding area, including beaches and places of historical interest.
