1. Amar Akbar Anthony

The film was directed by Manmohan Desai is about three brothers Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor separated during their childhood who grew up in three different homes, adopting three different religions. Amitabh Bachchan won his first Filmfare Best Actor Award for his work. The music was written by Laxmikant-Pyarelal who received the Filmfare Best Music Director Award.

2. Dharam Veer

Produced and directed by Manmohan Desai the film was part of Desai's four big hits of the year based on the "separated and reunited" theme, the others consisting of the films Parvarish, Chacha Bhatija and Amar Akbar Anthony. The film stars Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, Jeetendra, Neetu Singh and Pran with the music by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

3. Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin

Produced and directed by Nasir Hussain, the movie stars Rishi Kapoor, Zeenat Aman, Amjad Khan, Om Shivpuri, Jalal Agha and Tom Alter. The music of the film was scored by Rahul Dev Burman for which he received a Filmfare Nomination for Best Music. Mohammed Rafi, the playback singer was praised for his work winning both National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer and Filmfare Best Male Playback Award.

4. Parvarish

Directed by Manmohan Desai, the film is part of the quad of films he released in 1977 in the brotherhood theme. The film, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna and Amjad Khan also marked Shammi Kapoor's full entry into character roles. Amjad Khan and Kader Khan play the villains. Laxmikant Pyarelal scored the film and Majrooh Sultanpuri the lyrics.

5. Chacha Bhatija Directed by Manmohan Desai, the film is part of the quad of films he released in 1977 in the brotherhood theme.

The film, stars stars Dharmendra, Randhir Kapoor, Rehman, Hema Malini, Yogeeta Bali, Jeevan and Sonia Sahni. Laxmikant Pyarelal scored the film.

6. Khoon Pasina Produced by Baboo Mehra and directed by Rakesh Kumar, the film stars Amitabh Bachchan as a criminal called Tiger who is falsely ccused of killing a poor farmer. The film co-stars Vinod Khanna, Rekha, Nirupa Roy, Helen, Asrani, Aruna Irani, Bharat Bhushan and Kader Khan. The music is by Kalyanji Anandji.
7. Apnapan Produced and directed by J. Om Prakash, the film deals with themes of bigamy and a deceitful lover. The film stars Jeetendra, Sanjeev Kumar, Sulakshana Pandit, Reena Roy, Aruna Irani and Iftekhar. The films music is by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

Dulhan Wohi Jo Piya Man Bhaye Produced by Tarachand Barjatya for Rajshri, the film is directed by Lekh Tandon and is about a wealthy owner of a manor house and his playboy son and problems with marriage.The film stars Madan Puri, Prem Krishen, Rameshwari, Jagdeep and Iftekhar.The music is by Ravindra Jain.
